Suspiria (1977)
Clever film, Suspiria. Take something normal like going to ballet school and turn it into a front for young girls being exploited by witches and wiccans. Frightful, indeed!

Memorable scene from Suspiria:
For our money, one of the creepiest scenes in Suspiria is the one in which Helena Markos awakens and shreaks “Who is it? Who’s there? Ah, I’ve been expecting you! The American girl! I knew you’d come. You want to kill me! You want to kill me! You wanted to kill me! You wanted to kill me! What are you gonna do now, huh? You wanted to kill Helena Markos! Now death is coming for you! Hell is behind that door! You’re going to meet death now… the LIVING DEAD!”
Memorable quote from Suspiria:
“Susie, do you know anything about . . . witches?”
Why we love Suspiria:
Suspense and shock make Suspiria a classic, must-see among horror films. It’s hard to imagine a film filled with more of a sense of impending doom or dread. Tense and intense!
Frightening Fact:
Director Dario Argento played the creepy theme music for Suspiria at full blast on set to creep out the actors and ensure their performances exhibited a high level of terror. Argento had composed the theme music along with the band Goblin.
