So, we hear you are doubting it’s possible to make your own Darth Vader Halloween costume. We find your lack of faith disturbing. Let us show you the true nature of the Force. Remember, do or do not. There is no try. Here are the instructions . . .
Items you will need:
Darth Vader helmet
Black cape
Black shirt
Black pants
Black boots
Black gloves
Red Lightsaber
Two safety pins
Black square of paper
1 sheet of white construction paper
1 sheet of red construction paper
Rubber cement or glue
Scissors
There’s really no need to make your own Darth Vader helmet when so many are available at reasonable prices. The rest of the costume is easy to do at home. Wear a black shirt and pants with black boots. Create a square of black heavy-stock paper that covers your chest. Using white and red construction paper, cut out various shapes that can serve as buttons on Vader’s chest panel. Glue the buttons to the chest plate and use safety pins to attach the chest plate to the front of your dark shirt. Put on your black cape and your gloves. Now add the Vader mask, grab your red lightsaber and the Rebellion is as good as crushed.
Frightening Fact:
The last words Darth Vader uttered before he died were “Tell your sister . . . you were right”.
