If you want to be the life of the party, or, more appropriately, the death of it, Wednesday Addams is a great Halloween costume choice. And so simple, too! Just remember - deadpan. Don’t crack a smile all night unless someone is suffering.
Items you will need:
Dark, braided hair (wig if necessary)
A white collar
Black shirt and skirt
Black belt
Black leotard or hosiery
Black shoes or boots
The key to Wednesday Addams is black. She has to have the blackest hair, the blackest clothes and the blackest mood. If you don’t have black hair long enough to be braided, you will need a black wig. Put on a white shirt with a wide, white collar buttoned to the top. When you put on your black blouse, tuck it into your dark skirt and add a black belt. Make sure the white collar of your shirt is showing on top of your blouse. Don’t go getting all leggy on us. Cover your legs with a black leotard or black hose. Wear black shoes. The bigger and clunkier, the better. Black boots would be a nice touch if you have them.
Frightening Fact:
“The Addams Family” premiered on Sept. 18, 1964. Lisa Loring played Wednesday Addams, the family’s murderous pre-teen daughter. Wednesday was later portrayed on film by Christina Ricci. On the TV show, Wednesday had a headless doll named Marie Antoinette.
