Phantom of the Opera Halloween Costume

Few Halloween costumes are as simple or as symbolic as that of the Phantom of the Opera. It’s the romantic choice – if you’re into that sort of thing.

Items you will need:
Tuxedo
Black cape
White gloves
Black shoes
White opera mask (covering only half of your face)

Dress like you are going out for a night at the opera, adding a flowing black cape for added drama. Once you put on that white mask covering half your face, you are unmistakable as the Phantom of the Opera. Carrying a rose is a nice touch. Wear good smelling cologne. Polish your shoes. Act suave, gentlemanly, slightly stalkerish and a lot psycho.

Frightening Fact:
John Travolta and Antonio Banderas were both considered for the role of the Phantom in the 2004 movie version. Banderas actually spent several years in vocal preparation. He ended up a singing cartoon cat instead. Gerard Butler eventually won the role.
